Facebook understands Women.

There is an interesting article today in the New York Times, about Facebook´s COO Sheryl K. Sandberg and her dedication to mentoring and promoting women worldwide, in business and especially in Facebook.

A majority of Facebook’s 845 million users are women. The article explains why Facebook has dedicated hours of research to understanding why women spend more time than men online, why they post more, why they update their status more frequently and are leaders in photo sharing.

Sheryl K. Sandberg has mentored dozens of women and has brought business to Facebook focusing on women´s attraction to the number one social network.

The article has a good mix of the importance of women participation in business as well as the weight of women in social media.
